I'm a high school student and competitive fencer from Spokane, WA. I created Fencing Horizons to explore the intersection of sport, health, and technology — topics I care about both as an athlete and as someone drawn to medicine and data.
After experiencing exercise-induced breathing difficulties that were misdiagnosed as asthma for eight months, I began researching Vocal Cord Dysfunction and EILO. That experience — and the information gap I discovered — became the foundation of this site.
I also help coach beginner fencers at my club, which led me to develop the training guides in Beginner's Corner. Watching newer athletes learn the same movements I once struggled with made me want to put what I've observed into writing.
Fencing Horizons is where I share what I learn.
